Chili Lime Sauce

  • 3 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion Chopped
  • ¼ cup apple juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • Juice of 3 limes +/-
  • 2 tbsp sugar +/-

To a hot pan, add olive oil, Salt, minced garlic, chopped onion and Cumin, cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes then add apple juice and reduce heat.  Cook on medium heat stirring frequently until onions are soft and golden brown and most of the liquid is reduced (15 minutes). Remove from heat and add lime juice and sugar then pulse in blender until smooth. May wish to add more olive oil to get desired consistency.

Add to a bowl of cooked seasoned shrimp, fresh avocado and chopped cilantro.
